4G LTE Telemetry

A Raspberry Pi and LTE modem bridge ArduPilot to your ground station over cellular networks. Fly beyond visual line of sight with real-time data.

Data Flow

1

FC → Pi

The SpeedyBee F405 Wing sends MAVLink telemetry to the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W over a serial UART connection.

2

Pi → LTE

MAVProxy on the Pi forwards MAVLink data through the Huawei E3372 LTE modem over the cellular network.

3

LTE → GCS

QGroundControl on a laptop or tablet receives real-time telemetry — position, altitude, battery, airspeed — from anywhere with cellular coverage.

4

GCS → FC

Commands flow back the same path. Upload waypoints, change flight modes, or trigger RTL from your ground station, miles away from the aircraft.

BVLOS Capability

Traditional RC links are limited to a few kilometers. The 4G LTE system extends telemetry and command range to anywhere with cellular coverage — enabling true beyond-visual-line-of-sight operations.

Combined with ArduPilot's AUTO mode, the Stork can execute complete delivery missions autonomously while the operator monitors progress from a ground station.

Note: BVLOS operations in the United States require an FAA Part 107 waiver. The Enterprise package includes regulatory guidance.
