Capability
Beyond Visual Line of Sight
The Stork's 4G LTE telemetry enables operations far beyond visual range. Real-time data, full command authority, and autonomous flight — from anywhere with cell coverage.
How It Works
The Stork carries a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W and Huawei E3372 LTE modem onboard. MAVProxy bridges the ArduPilot flight controller to QGroundControl over the cellular network.
The operator sees real-time telemetry — position, altitude, airspeed, battery voltage, heading — on a map display. Commands flow back: waypoint updates, flight mode changes, or RTL triggers.
Combined with ArduPilot's AUTO mode, the Stork executes complete missions autonomously while the operator monitors from any location with internet access.
Enterprise Package
The Enterprise tier ($12,500) includes the complete 4G LTE system pre-installed and configured. It also includes documentation and guidance for FAA Part 107 BVLOS waiver applications.
This includes recommended waiver language, operational procedures templates, and safety case documentation that can be adapted for your specific use case and operating area.
Regulatory Requirements
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
Required for all commercial drone operations in the United States. The Stork operator must hold a valid Part 107 certificate.
Part 107 Waiver for BVLOS
Standard Part 107 rules require visual line of sight. BVLOS operations require an FAA waiver. The Enterprise package includes guidance on the waiver application process.
Detect and Avoid (DAA)
FAA may require a detect-and-avoid strategy as part of the BVLOS waiver. This can include visual observers, ground-based radar, or onboard systems.
Communication Link
A reliable command and control link is required. The Stork's 4G LTE system provides continuous telemetry and command over cellular networks.
Fly beyond the horizon
The Enterprise package includes everything for BVLOS-ready operations.
